So now I´m blogging

Whatever that means...I´m new to this but I´ll do my best.

Well, it´s been quite a while since I´ve updated the myspace page, so this is what is going on:

I played a show on nov. 18 with Dragging An Ox, please check out the link at the bottom of the page, in Helsingör. I met Brian, DAO, through the whole myspace thing, and he stopped by on a European tour he was doing. We spent a couple of days together playing music, talking and listening to music, figuring out new ways to build strange soundengines, it was great. It´s so strange that all of this technology can get people connected so easily. He is an awesome person and artist. We have made a lot of plans, time will tell how much of it that will be carried out. But we are going to try and collaborate, and maybe get some tracks done.

I got married to my wonderful girlfriend Rikke on November the first. Yes, I am so very happy.
She maybe going to study in Boston College in August. If that happens we will be staying in Boston probably from August 2007 to January 2008, nothing is certain yet, but it sure will be great if it happens. There´s still so much paperwork that has to be done.

Well, about Bandinikvartetten. Before we played the show in November I was getting quite disillusioned, and actually played the show under the name: The Modern Disappearance Experience. I only played something like two tracks from the Automaton album, and the rest was all new stuff. But people enjoyed it, to my amazement. We played at the International Peoples College in Helsingör, with students from all over the world. Thanks Nicolaj for getting us the gig. Brian played first. It was amazing. Then I played. And at the end we had a giant jam with Nicolaj on wierd percussion and fingerpiano, dressed in a skirt. A guy playing a strange traditional eastern slide instument, some playing horns, an electric bassplayer, Brian on Fender Jaguar, me on Dobro, and a rapper. Phew. It was a great evening. Thanks to everyone there.

Well when we got back, Brian sort of talked me into writing some liner notes for the Automaton album. Which is what I will post here. It will serve as an introduction to how Bandinikvartetten started out, and as great stories to read while either listening to the album, if you got it, or just as stories to read. You can always listen to some of the tracks on the myspace page, but sadly not the whole album.

Right now I´m recording a new album, writing stuff, rewriting stuff, all those things. Got 23 tracks so far, but I think there´s probably gonna be 12 or 14 tracks when the album comes out. It is gonna be more focused on songwriting, and almost totally acoustic. I had to make a lot of changes in my life after the first album, and of course the music changes as I do. But otherwise: I´m sick, and going through some tests these days. I´ve got my exams and are now doing dishes 30 hours a week. Sorry to everyone who has tried to get in contact with me, things are going a bit slow these days.
